Matt earned his BBA from the University of Portland in 1998. He is a member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Public Accountants.

Matt joined Spectrum CPA Group in 2011 and has over 13 years of public accounting experience, ten of which were spent at the third largest local firm in the Portland area. Matt was introduced to accounting in high school by a teacher whose passion for accounting inspired him to pursue this career. Matt’s approach to accounting, auditing, and consulting is that of a problem-solver with a client service mentality. As a Principal at Spectrum CPA Group, Matt primarily serves private small and middle-market companies. His areas of expertise include the distribution, manufacturing, franchisor, and auto dealership industries. In addition, Matt is well-versed in providing transaction related consulting services to a wide range of companies.

Away from the office, Matt has served on the Board of Directors of Youth Progress Association (www.youthprogress.org) for the past seven years, and is currently the President-Elect. Matt is also a regular mentor to Portland State University students who are pursuing careers in accounting.

Matt and his wife Monique welcomed their daughter Ava into the world in 2011 and they live in Sherwood with their dog Brady. Matt enjoys playing golf, backpacking, volleyball and traveling.
