John completed his Master of Taxation degree at Portland State University and has been in practice since 1984. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he has been active on the Federal and State Tax Committees and the Technology Committee.

He has extensive experience in real estate development and property management and since 1988 has acted as an intermediary for tax deferred exchanges under Sec 1031. He has a thorough knowledge of QuickBooks and is a QuickBooks Pro Adviser.

In his free time, he enjoys tending his orchard and garden, singing with the Liederkeis German choir, playing blues and traveling with his family.
